FAREWELL
We said goodbye to Janaya Jones, Charlotte Stevenson and Rakiura Goodwillie from the Pukekos today. Happy school days Charlotte and Rakiura.

WELCOME
Welcome to Evie Forbes who joins us in the Kakas.

CASINO NIGHT
What an awesome fundraising night we had at the Oxford Restaurant last Saturday night.
Thanks to everyone who supported the event – the companies who donated prizes, staff and BOT who helped on the night, parents for attending, the Oxford - Mike and Clarissa and staff, those that bid and won the auctions, MC Peter Burt, Jess Loveday who made yummy desserts, and our talented musicians, Claire Burt, Neave O'Connor and Nick Goodwin.
We are very happy to report this year we made a fantastic total of $7791.
Well done everybody involved.

STAFF NEWS
Katy Jackson
The Human Resources Committee is very pleased to announce that Katy Jackson from the Kakas has been promoted into the Head teacher role in the Nursery and will commence the role on 2 July 2018.
I’m sure you will join with us in congratulating Katy on her new role.
This does still leave us with a vacant position and we are now advertising for a Nursery teacher. Sophie will be covering in the Kakas in the short term until we find a suitable applicant.

WET BAGS
In light of the effect of one use plastic bags on the environment and the supermarkets signaling that they will phase these out, Creative Corner has had to look at another method of storing wet and soiled clothing for the day until children are collected.
We have purchased wet bags and will be allocating one of these (named) to each child. This will carry a small cost of $5.00 that will be added to your account.
We envisage that children will have these bags for the duration of their time at Creative Corner and ask that parents check that they are in their children’s bag each morning. Please note heavily soiled items will still need to be placed in a plastic bag for hygiene reasons, however we feel that we can supply enough plastic bags to accommodate these rarer occurrences.
Thanks you for your support in helping us respond to the availably of bags and ultimately do our bit for the environment.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY NON-ATTENDANCE FORMS
Please complete a non-attendance form for the upcoming school holidays as soon as possible so we can better organise staff ratios required. Thanks.
