DAYLIGHT SAVING
Sunday, 30 September 2018
As from Monday, 1 October children must bring their sunhats to preschool, and sunblock if they use their own.

PARENT SURVEYS
Parent survey forms will be placed in your child’s pocket in the next few days. Please fill out and return to us ASAP. Thanks.

NAMED CLOTHING
We ask that all your child’s clothing is named. With the warming weather coming the children will be involved in more wet play and changes of clothing will be required. Thanks.

THANK YOU:

MUD KITCHEN
The children are loving the mud kitchen that Tanyka’s partner Luke made recently for CCELC.

TYRE GENERAL
Creative Corner were fortunate to receive tyres, 5 rugby balls and 5 soccer balls, which were kindly donated by Hayden Reid from Tyre General.
We always appreciate the community donating to our Centre.

CHANGE IN PUKEKO CLASSROOM ROSTERS
Over the past couple of months, we have been trialing not having teachers pre-assigned on “rostered responsibilities” each week, e.g. toileting, kai, sleeproom.
We have in turn been discussing as a team each morning regarding who has planned activities and experiences for the children, who needs support with these, and then who would take responsibility for the rostered responsibilities each day.
These will then be displayed for children and whanau to know who is doing what each day, using the photos by the Pukeko door.
During this we have noticed more communication within the team, a larger array of experiences/activities through the day, and all our children and teachers. are more relaxed and engaged in play.
If you have any questions, please ask any of the Pukeko team. Thanks.
