CREATIVE CORNER Newsletter 25 October 2018

TENA RA KOUTOU
(Greetings to you)

CALENDAR FUNDRAISER
It’s that time for our Christmas calendar fundraiser. Once again children will draw a picture on size A4, and younger children may have a hand print. These make great personalised Christmas presents for your whanau and friends.
Pictures drawn by your children are available to view at the Centre commencing the week of 5 November 2018. Please see one of your child’s teachers.
Each calendar is $10.00 - please pay with your order. Payments can be made directly to our fundraising account – 03 0887 0265519 01 referencing your child’s name – no orders will be accepted without payment.
Please return orders by Friday, 16 November 2018 so we can get printed to be ready before Christmas.
Sample calendar is available to view in at reception.

PMP PARENT EVENING
Wednesday, 7 November, 7.00pm
Pukeko parents please come and join the teachers for a very informative night to find out what PMP (Perceptual Motor Programme) is, why it is so important that your children are exposed to it and how we are proving PMP in our environment at Creative Corner.
We look forward to seeing everyone so we can share ways you are able to help your children at home to be prepared for school and their future.

DAILY ABSENCE REMINDER
If your child is absent for the day, please call the Centre before 8.30am to receive your 50% discount on the fee for the day.
This also helps with the organisation of our staffing for the day.

CHILD SIGN IN/SIGN OUT
A reminder to please always sign your child IN and OUT.
The Ministry of Education requires that every child is signed in and out every day. If the Centre holds a practice fire drill and children are not signed in for the day, theoretically they cannot be accounted for.
We use sign in sheets as the roll in an emergency so it is important your child is included in our checks. Thanks.

TIMEKEEPING
Please ensure that you are collecting your child by their booked time. If you come in early we welcome you to stay with your child until their booked start time.
We need to be quite strict on this as we run to ratios and if parents are early dropping off or late collecting we may not have either the space or the correct amount of teachers.
If you need to drop off early or collect late you need to discuss this with either Amy or Kate in advance so we can check that we have enough space and staff to facilitate your request.
