TENA RA KOUTOU
(Greetings to you)

FAREWELL - KA KITE
Farewell to Caleb Smith who left the Pukekos this week. Happy school days Caleb.

WELCOME - NAU MAI
We welcome back Freya Haggart to the Pukekos, and Willa Haggart to the Kakas next week.

We are excited to announce that we have secured our new head teacher for the Pukekos. We have employed Kerry Gunn from Christchurch. Kerry and her husband, Reuben, will be relocating to Timaru and Kerry will commence her position with us on 25 February.
Kerry comes to us with seven years’ experience in head teacher roles in Christchurch. Kerry is both ECE and primary trained and has completed post graduate work on challenging behaviours.
I am sure you will join with us in making Kerry feel welcome and please do introduce yourself to her as she begins her time with us.

TRIKEATHON
Saturday, 2 March 2019
10.30am
Timaru Girls’ High School Netball Courts
Further information will be distributed to parent in the next week.
Last year our Trikeathon and mini-fair was very successful, so we will be holding the same format this year. Mini-fair – food, games, cake walk, face painting.
We would appreciate parent support with the making of cakes for the cake walk. This was a very successful event, as well as being lots of fun.

CCELC NON-ATTENDANCE DAY
Friday, 12 April
A letter was placed in your child’s pocket 30 January regarding a non-attendance day (in lieu of a teacher only day), allowing our staff to participate in a program to benefit our children’s wellbeing.
Thanks to those parents who have already advised that their children will/will not be attending on that day.
We would appreciate your response as soon as possible, as to your intentions. We hope you can support us on this day. Thanks.

PLEASE PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN
With the hot weather we are experiencing, please ensure you apply sunscreen to your children prior to attending Creative Corner.
Children must wear sunhats outside and we encourage you to send your child with suitable clothing to cover their arms and shoulders (singlets are not suitable on these hot days).
