Meet our Board Members
LISA HEYWOOD: Hi, I am Lisa Heywood, my son Cooper is in the Kaka's. I am a accountant for KPMG Timaru. I chose to stand for the Board of Trustees to contribute my financial knowledge to the centre and support future sustainability of Creative Corner.
CLARISSA DORAN: My son Liam is in the Kakas. He loves coming to Creative Corner and tells me everyone’s name in the car as we drive there. My husband Michael grew up in Timaru and we came here to raise a family as he had such fond memories. We own the Oxford Restaurant which keeps us busy, and love the sense of community in Timaru.
KERRI JOPP: Kia Ora my name is Kerri Jopp, I'm married to Blair and together we live at Claremont with our two children Tilly (4) and Archie (3). We are very excited to be welcoming our third baby in October.
I joined the board in 2015 to help with fundraising and have also been involved with the future proofing committee. I have a passion for education and have been teaching at both Waimataitai and Barton Rural schools up until my maternity leave. We chose Creative Corner from many friends recom-mendations and love the friendly staff and the low child to teacher ratios. I'm always interested in how we can make Creative Corner work better for children and families and would welcome your thoughts and suggestions you may have.
Chalk Educated Toys Fundraiser: Last chance to order for Christmas. More order forms available at CCELC if required. Please return orders to Kate by Friday, 28 October.
Trikeathon Fundraiser: Sponsor’s forms and information on this fundraiser have been placed in your child’s pocket. This is a great family event and a chance for parents to meet each other and get to know everyone at CCELC, while supporting the development of the playground and children’s resources.
