FAREWELL
Farewell to Tapani Ireland-Knierum who left our Pukeko class recently. Tapani heads off to Waimataitai School. Happy school days Tapani.

QUIZ NIGHT
25 October at the Sail
This is always a fun evening for Creative Corner. Bring along a team of four and support this fundraiser. Raffles will be held on the night.

CASINO REMINDER
28 October 7pm
DRESS UP THEME – SUGAR DADDYS AND DIVAS
CCELC are holding a fundraiser with help from the Oxford Restaurant. We are turning the Oxford into a Casino for the night. There will be Casino games run by the parents, including roulette, black jack, and poker.
Live music - Vivian Solly will be our lounge singer and Cam Scott will be rocking it out until late.
There will be canapés throughout the night and a dessert bar set up by the parents and staff of Creative Corner.
A big ticket auction will be held with some great prizes, including a helicopter ride for four with Richie McCaw.
Very limited event so buy your tickets at the Oxford or Creative Corner.
We look forward to you supporting our largest fundraising event for the year.

PARENT GROUP
We are looking to gauge interest in a Creative Corner Parent Group.
This would be for parents and children to come and have a coffee and a chat, and meet some new people. This would be initially held at Creative Corner on a Saturday or Sunday. If you are interested, please see Please note this is open to families enrolled at Creative Corner only.

Haere mai ki (Welcome) to Harriet Campbell who joins us in the Kakas.

NEW STAFF MEMBER TANYKA MUGGERIDGE
Kia ora, my name is Tanyka and I am the new teacher in the Pukekos classroom. I am originally from Wales and moved to New Zealand with my family in 2004 before moving to Australia for five years (so my apologies if my accent is all over the show!) I have recently moved to Timaru from Christchurch with my partner Luke and our Border Collie Alfie. I love exploring new places and you may see me often out and about walking with Alfie.
I have been teaching for two and a half years and I am so excited to be a part of the team here at Creative Corner. It has been so wonderful getting to know all the children and their families over the past two weeks. For those I have already met it has been a pleasure talking with you, and for those I am yet to meet I look forward to getting to know you in the next coming weeks

ROBYN PEARCE FUNDRAISING EVENT
The total amount raised for this fundraiser was $671.00. We have already spent $364 of this on 40 new children’s books.

TRIKEATHON
The Fundraising Committee has decided to postpone the Trikeathon until February 2018 due to the already busy schedule with fundraising at the Centre.
Please note it will not be held on Saturday, 25 November.
